Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
What Is ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis is widely recognized as an effective evidence-based treatment for autism and is endorsed by the U.S. Surgeon General and the American Academy of Pediatrics as the treatment of choice for autism.
Autism in Motion (AIM) Clinics is able to provide ABA services in either the clinical setting or home environment. ABA therapies are provided under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and/or a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). In either setting, our therapists will work closely with your family to apply the principles of ABA to teach a variety of skills based on the individual needs of each child, including language and communication skills, social skills, academic skills and daily living and life skills. Each child is unique and our teams work together to provide a program specific to their individual needs in an effort to help each child meet his or her full potential.

Our clinic-based service model offers many advantages for our clients and their families. This service model allows a child to receive treatment in an environment that is specifically optimized for learning. Clinic-based services also allow for increased social opportunities, as well as increased opportunities for generalization of skills since the child is outside of his or her typical environment.
Following an initial consultation and assessment, our staff will work with you to create a weekly schedule for your child to receive the prescribed amount of ABA therapy hours in our clinic. These therapies are provided by our well-trained behavior technician staff using a 1:1 teaching format with ongoing supervision, oversight and support from one of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
At AIM Clinics, we believe parent and family involvement is a critical and powerful component in impacting a child’s progress. Thus, our clinic-based service model also includes ongoing parent training and support, including communication on targeted skill areas, updates on the child’s progress, suggestions of ways to further your child’s learning at home and how to address behavioral concerns at home or in the community.

Although the majority of our families prefer the convenience of our clinic-based services, there are times when distance or other factors prevent this model from being the best option. In the event that our clinic-based service model does not fit the needs of your family, we are also able to offer high quality ABA therapy in a home-based setting. Our experienced Behavior Technicians will travel to your home to provide 1-on-1 therapy support for your child. Similar to the clinic-based services, ongoing supervision and oversight is provided at regularly scheduled intervals by one of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts, as well as ongoing parent training and support.
