AIM is primarily a center-based program with some in-home therapy options. Behavior Technician / Registered Behavior Technician

Our Behavior Technicians work as valued members of our teams to provide individualized services in a 1:1 teaching format to our clients. Autism in Motion (AIM) clinics is able to provide all of the necessary training you will need to start your career as a Behavior Technician, as well as opportunities to grow with us. Our training program will provide you with all the tools you will need to be successful as you learn to apply and implement behavior analytical techniques under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Job Responsibilities

  • Working 1:1 with children and young adults by applying and implementing behavior analytical techniques that increase communication, self-help and social and play skills under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Utilize positive reinforcement and antecedent modification to increase appropriate behaviors over time
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of instructional materials
  • Maintain accurate records of client performance via data collection and clinical notes through an online data collection system
  • Manage any inappropriate behaviors that occur
  • Communicate confidentially and professionally with behavior analysts, teachers, parents and principals
  • Keep clients motivated to learn through preference assessments
  • Toilet training may be required

Minimum Qualifications

  • 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation to travel to client homes and work at center
  • Be able to lift up to 25 lbs. routinely
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
  • Must have availability during school hours; however, after-school or weekend hours may be available for our center-based or in-home clients
  • Have knowledge of use of modern technology, i.e. PC, Mac, iPad or other tablets. Training will be provided on the systems used

Board Certified Behavior Analyst / Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst

Our Behavior Analysts work as valued members of our teams to provide high quality ABA assessment, consultation and supervision services for our clients, as well as ongoing support and supervision for their team members and the families they serve. Autism in Motion (AIM) Clinics also provides additional learning experiences and professional development training for our Behavior Analysts, as well as opportunities to grow and advance within our company. At AIM Clinics, we make it a priority to help you enhance your skills as a consultant and to ensure you are provided with all the tools you need to develop successful ABA programming and lead a high quality therapeutic team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments across multiple learning domains such as language, academics, social skills, and functional life skills
  • Design, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
  • Conduct functional assessments of problem behavior and develop behavior intervention plans as needed
  • Design and implement data collection procedures and make data-based decisions to update treatment plans as needed
  • Supervise and train clinical staff in Verbal Behavior and ABA techniques
  • Provide training and instruction to parents on behavioral strategies and implementing ABA teaching methods in the home
  • Create and submit scheduled progress reports to insurance providers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Hold and maintain credentialing with Behavior Analyst Certification Board as either a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA)
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree in Applied behavior analysis or related field, depending on the level of certification achieved
  • Experience working with children and/or individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities is preferred
  • Be able to lift up to 25 lbs. routinely
